AGRIBUSINESS EXPORTS GROW 15.8% IN JULY, TO US$ 11 BILLION

Agribusiness exports reached US$ 11.3 billion in July, an increase of 15.8% compared to the same period in 2020, according to an analysis by CNA (the confederation of Brazilian agriculture and livestock), based on data from the Ministry of Economy.

From January to July this year, the sector’s foreign sales reached US$ 72.7 billion, 19.9% ​​more compared to the same period in 2020.

Soybeans led the Brazilian agricultural export basket in July, accounting for 35.3% of the total exports and revenues of US$ 4.0 billion (an increase of 15.3% compared to the same period in 2020).

Fresh beef ranked second in the export basket, with growth of 30.6% compared to July last year and sales of US$ 902.6 million.
