ANEC RAISES OCTOBER FORECAST FOR BRAZILIAN SOYBEAN AND CORN EXPORTS

On Tuesday, October 19, ANEC (the Brazilian association of grain exporters) estimated that soybean exports from Brazil should reach 3.397 million tons in October, up from the 2.973 million tons forecast last week.

If confirmed, the volume – based on the schedule of ships at ports – will also be above the 2.172 million tons shipped abroad in October last year, according to ANEC, and will increase the YTD  at the end of October to 82.367 million tons.

Last year, Brazil –the largest producer and exporter of soy– shipped 82.29 million tons of the oilseed.
