On Thursday, September 22, Brazil reached the mark of US$ 50 billion in exports of the soy complex in 2022.
In 2021, the sum of grains, bran, and oil exports yielded US$ 48 billion, according to official data.
The numbers also exceed 1/5 of exports of all Brazilian products from January to the third week of this month.
In the calculations made by Vlamir Brandalizze, US$ 49 billion in earnings were committed as of last week.
“Exporters have accumulated over US$ 1 billion to date,” he adds.
Brazil has been exporting smaller than usual grain volume, which prices have offset since after the crop failure of 2021.
According to the CEO of Brandalizze Consulting, Brazil has exported more soybean bran and oil this year, even though both derivatives represent a smaller share of exports than the grain.
In bran alone, processors sold around 4m tonnes more, approximately 17m/t, thanks to the effects of the war in Ukraine.
The achievable goal for the year is for revenues to reach up to US$ 55 billion with the sum of the three products that make up the soy complex.
