BRAZILIAN TRADE BALANCE SEES USD 1.169 BN SURPLUS UP TO 3RD WEEK OF OCT

In the third week of October 2022, Brazil’s trade balance showed a surplus of US$1.169 billion. The Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex) of the Ministry of Economy released the data on Monday, 24th, revealing that the value was obtained with exports worth US$ 7.002 billion and imports costing US$ 5.832 billion.

In October, the trade result accumulated a surplus of US$ 3.102 billion. In the year, the balance is positive at US$ 50.820 billion.

The daily average of exports in the first three weeks of October registered an increase of 25.4% in comparison with the same month of the previous year, growth of 98.4% in Agriculture, a fall of -15.3% in Extractive Industry, and an increase of 26.6% in Manufacturing Industry.

Imports rose 16.5%, with a fall of -7.7% in Agriculture, a growth of 87.3% in the Extractive Industry, and an increase of 15.2% in the Manufacturing Industry.
