SUGAR: LINE-UP POINTS TO 3.605 MILLION TONNES IN SHIPMENTS

The total number of ships waiting to ship sugar at Brazilian ports was 86 in the week ended August 10, compared to 83 the previous week, according to the shipping agency Williams Brasil. Their report shows that 3.605 million tonnes of sugar are scheduled to be shipped compared to 3.475 million in the previous week.

Most of it (2.894 million tonnes) will depart from the Port of Santos. The second-largest quantity will go to Paranagua (690,724 tonnes), followed by São Sebastião (20,000 tonnes). The main varieties consist of VHP sugar, crystal sugar B150 (128,876 tonnes), and granulated sugar A-50 (50 thousand tonnes).

The agency’s report takes into account the vessels that are already anchored, those that are waiting to berth, and those that are expected to arrive by September 9th.
