YTD TRADE BALANCE SURPLUS REACHES US$ 58.37 BI, UP 32.3%

The Brazilian YTD trade balance surplus reached US$ 58.37 billion in the fourth week of October, with the daily average increasing 32.3% over the period from January to October 2020. The Trade flow (sum of exports and imports) was US$ 402.88 billion, up 36.9%. According to data released on Monday (10/25) by the Minister of Economy’s foreign trade secretariat (SECEX), exports in 2021 reached US$ 230.62 billion, an increase of 36.3%, and imports rose 37.7%, reaching US$ 172.26 billion.
